Yes, women marry young in Colombia. I did at 26. I was in a relationship for 13 years. I left because I was too depressed living there with him. I came from a home women has to be perfect and I never could. I made a mistake, as I was raised to believe I could not live by yourself. Even though I am engineer, being a female makes us vulnerable in latin america as workers, as couples, as parents, as people.
I am divorced right now, but I felt in love with the most amazing human being because he was a righteous man, he was an humanist, he was a total atheist. But he didn.t love me, he loved what he wanted me to become.
Now I live in the Middle East, its really hard of all of us, but I live alone and independently.
